The Aloe Vera or \’Barbados aloe\’ is an evergreen perennial that has green, spikey, fleshy leaves. It can sometimes flower with long tubular yellow flowers normally 3cm in length. How to grow The aloe vera plants like to be grown indoors with peat-free cacti potting compost or peat-free, loam-based potting compost with added horticultural grit. Water moderately in the summer and spring but not to much in winter. Give a feed monthly with liquid plant food from May to August. Can be placed out side in summer when it is hot and not to cold.
