For the ultimate in weight reduction, tuning potential, and racing sound, we offer stainless steel, catless down pipes. When used in conjunction with the Evolution performance exhaust, this is virtually the same setup used on the 1M MotoGP Safety Car. The high-flow down pipes do require ECU reprogramming to eliminate the check engine light and for peak power output. They are only for the dedicated track day car or hardcore enthusiasts. When installing Akrapovič aftermarket optional down pipes with sports catalytic converters or without catalytic converters, which are developed for use on closed tracks only, remapping the ECU is mandatory. When installing Akrapovič aftermarket exhaust system that was developed for use on closed tracks, we recommend remapping the ECU in order to prevent potential »check engine light« warning signals.
